Sony PS4 supports the following video formats: It also has a companion program gMKVExtractGUI which can be used to put pieces out of an MKV, such as subtitles, video, audio, chapters, etc. You can use it to quickly see what is in the MKV container. It does a bunch, but I primarily us it to remux MKV files or put MP4's in to an MKV with subtitles, chapters, etc. I know its old, but since no one said it I just have to leave a comment. Was looking for something else and saw this.
